How do the injections work?

We use injection techniques to relax facial muscles the most popular such treatment in the world which in turn help smooth and soften facial lines.

Solution is injected in tiny doses directly into a specific muscle, causing the muscle to weaken. This, in turn, leads to the skin overlying the muscle to relax and the wrinkles caused by muscle contractions soften and fade.

Which areas of the face are treated?

This procedure is prescribed to eliminate wrinkles in the upper third of the face.

This is a safe and simple procedure. A very small amount of the solution is injected with a fine needle into several locations in the face.

As with any injections, a degree of discomfort is to be expected, but the pain is mild to moderate and minimised by local anaesthetic cream.

How long do the effects last?

The effects are usually visible within three to five days, but maximum effect may take up to two weeks. The long-term benefits should last around three to four months. After this, repeat injections can be given to maintain the relaxation of the facial muscles.

After treatment, can I lead a normal day?

There will be some redness and swelling of the injection areas as with any injections. In most cases this will be mild and there will be no other visible signs of your skincare treatment.

You will be able to drive as normal, go to work and engage in social activities such as shopping and seeing friends.

We advise actively exercising those facial muscles injected throughout the day. For example, frowning will help if frown lines have been treated, or raising the eyebrows if forehead lines have been targeted, as this can add to the effectiveness of the treatment.
